White Air (Extreme Sports Festival)

None

18th-21st September 2008

White Air is an international multi-sport festival: Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Surfing make up some of the extreme watersports events whilst disciplines such as Mountain Boarding, Skate and BMX ensure an action-packed programme on land as well as water. The event is based at the 'White Air' village on the seafront at Yaverland, near Sandown, on the Island's east coast.

In 2007, over 500 visitors took advantage of the 'Have a Go' taster sessions (open to anyone aged eight and over) including free ocean kayak, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding, Thundercat powerboat and kitesurfing sessions. Paragliding has been added giving you the opportunity to see the Island from the air. Try the latest gear from various manufacturers as well as being taught by professionals.
